I ended up building 2 of these for a store in Memphis, TN. They are a full 8’ tall, 4’ wide, and 18” deep. They have a drilled peg system running the length of the sides. She wanted it painted but also wanted the texture of a deep woodgrain to be visible. Cheap CDX plywood is perfect for this situation. The shelves are faced with a 1 1/2” strip of pine with a 3/4×1/4 rabbit joining them together. I almost refused to paint it as I hate painting and did not have a sprayer. Glad I didn’t as it turned out alright. Great learning experience for underbidding labor. Simple bookshelves but I enjoyed building them.
