Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #63 – January 17, 2015

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it!

Shop Built

A three way lap joint stool. Very nice chunks of walnut too!

Multimedia Memories Showcase Productions

This has to be the most elaborate, time consuming chess table build I have ever seen. Definitely not another one like it.

Here’s part 2

Carl holmgren

The lift mechanism on this is very well thought out.

CanadianWoodworks

This guy makes some really amazing chairs. Here’s a walkthrough of his shop.

Ron Paulk

The rolling mobile toolbox is finally done. I’m always amazed at this guy’s organization skills. Enjoy the tour!

Mirai Sugita

I’ve previously shared a Japanese woodworking video and since I’ve been divulging into another side of YouTube that I previously would have not known about. I believe this one was sent to me on Facebook but for the life of me I can’t find who sent it. Great video showing what looks to be pretty precise half lap joints cut with a handsaw and some magnets on a jig.

Tips from a Shipwright

While this setup is setup in a production environment it’s got some great concepts that you may like to adapt into your workshop.

Brian Boggs Chairmakers

The machine he uses to get the perfect amount of hickory bark looks amazing. Definitely lots of time and effort went into making this process quick and easy.
