Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #192 – October 28, 2017

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Third Coast Craftsman

Definitely subscribe to this channel. Great craftsmanship and information here. Hand tools vs power tools? What say ye?

frank howarth

What I really love about Frank’s work is you never know what’s coming next. Like this build for example….I never saw it coming.

Clickspring

Time for a little Clickspring fix. If for some reason you don’t know about the Clickspring channel do yourself a favor and click to his channel and watch a few or a dozen videos.

The Wood Toy Bloke

I’ve seen these boat shelves before….now I know how to make one :) Thanks for walking us through with the narration, Bruce.

The New Hampshire Woodshop

Two things…first, the china cabinet he’s standing next to made me drool a little bit. Second, this looks like an easier alternative to traditional saw tooth shelf supports. I might give this a try on an upcoming build.

RH100

Simple yet complex. I suppose that’s a good way to explain this one. The end result is very unique and a good design for the space.

krtwood

Anyone want to make a belt sander? I’d definitely say this one would get the job done.

If you’re interested in seeing the entire build you can do so with this playlist.

stoneandsons.net

I’ve seen this bench in person. Pictures don’t do it justice. This thing is gorgeous. Click the image for more information and a video.

John Malecki

This shop cart turned out great. The tool and clamp storage looks pretty handy.

Phil Crockett

Here’s a viral video from 2014. A door lock with a dinner fork. I’d put this into the bag of seldom used information that might win an adult beverage or two.

  1. Hi Jay, Thanks for your ISFATW. I look forward to each episode. As very few home woodworkers over here have access to a CNC router, articles on builds where one is needed leave me cold. The cost of many tools is prohibitive here in Australia. Even decent ply is expensive. Good ply is seldom seen above 3/8 inch. I guess it’s a supply and demand thing. Smaller population Is sometimes limiting.
    Keep up the great work.
    Regards, Terry

  2. Thanks for the links. It sometimes is surprising that I have already watched some of them. I guess we have similar interest or at least are curious about some similar things :-)
