Free Stuff (Giveaway)

Hey folks! I teamed up with a local friend of mine for a fun giveaway. This giveaway isn’t sponsored by anyone other than myself and Shawn Stone. Our goal was to be able to give back to multiple people instead of just one so we added a couple extras. Here’s what we are giving away:

A total of 10 people will win something. The following items will be given away.

Terms and conditions:

The randomly selected winner will be determined by the Gleam giveaway and not by me or Shawn personally so please don’t ask us to pick you :) The giveaway ends at the time shown on the giveaway entry widget (end of February 8th, 2018). The winner will be announced immediately on this giveaway page so check back for the winner. The entire giveaway is open to everyone world-wide but the cabinet is only available for pickup only. WE WILL NOT SHIP THE CABINET. None of your information gathered will be shared or sold. I hate spam just as much as you do. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries that I deem suspicious of non genuine entries. Please help me keep this as fair as possible. By entering the giveaway you agree to sign up for Jay’s and Shawn’s email newsletter. By entering the giveaway you agree to these terms and conditions.

  • GRAND PRIZE – David A Carlson
  • 2ND PLACE WINNERS – Stephen Smith, Judd McNutt
  • 3RD PLACE WINNER – Cody Miller
  • 4TH PLACE WINNER – Jim Boyd

  9. As a truck driver who has a fair collection of woodworking equipment, I wish I had a smidgen of you folks’ skills. You inspire, educate, inform… now if only you could work on transference so your skills could be handed out to us who are should consider ourselves lucky to still have 10 complete digits on our hands…

    • Continuous improvement, Les! Enjoy the journey :)
(no pun intended considering you’re a truck driver. My grandfather drove several million miles for KLLM)

    • No worries. We’ve had a few setbacks. It’s a roller coaster of ups and downs. Because of which, I’ve decided to not share any updates on the topic. When it happens I’m sure everyone will know ;)

  10. I’ve been watching your video for quite some time and enjoyed your presentation style. Thank you for the effort you put into the creations and for sharing them with all of us!

  11. Jay .. long time follower of you on youtube … love pretty much everything you’ve done … however, I’m not a facebook, twitterer or Instagram person … is there anyway to get around this on giveaways or other things you do.
    Thanks ….. Nat

  12. Hmmmm…..I don’t need the dartboard, but I would love to win it, raffle it off and donate the money. Meeting you guys would be cool too. I’ve been using a lot of Jay’s knowledge combined with my own to create a nice shop for myself. But I keep running out of money! :). Keep up the good work and thanks for all the insight.

  13. I really look forward to you both posting video & comments, I watch & read almost everything from both. I really appreciate the occasional mistake that you make and own up to., It is nice to see that I am not alone in ‘The Best Laid Plans Of Mice and Men Oft Go Astray’ category.

  14. Thanks guys for the awesome giveaway. As I’m located in Canada, feel free to remove me from the running for anything that would require local pickup. You guys are a constant inspiration for me. Cheers!

  15. Jay, there are quite a few woodworkers posting videos. What makes your channel particularly special is that you take the time to answer questions, you explain things clearly, and unlike most others, you revisit projects to show how they have changed or how you would do things different next time. I hope you can keep this up. Best wishes for 2018.

  16. It is so awesome when the creators give back like this. Both of you rock and are an inspiration. I watched Shawn’s video about framing his newspaper article and it has inspired me to begin looking into starting my own business woodworking. I love the tight-knit community you all have and am crossing my fingers on winning to get the chance to meet and hang with you guys. 25 years ago when I used to pitch darts I was pretty good maybe I’ll get lucky and ht a ton eighty again.

  17. Jay,
Thanks for the free goodies. love to watch your videos and really enjoy watching the guy who looks just like you cleaning up while you explain something off to the side on some projects.
Wish you were located on the West coast, would love to see your operation, keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

  18. I’d love a mallet. If I win the cabinet, I’ll sell it and give the profit to Jay and Shawn. They deserve to make money off that project.

  19. That’s a great looking Dart board, I remember watching the video when you put it out. Enjoy your videos! Thanks for all the sharing!!

  20. I’d accept the dartboard cabinet primarily because it would be cool to spend time with Jay and Shawn. We could then see who makes the best sawdust.

  21. Enjoy watching both you guys. It has helped me realize that this is a journey that has ups and downs but it is certainly worth the ride.

  22. Guys, this is great, but I would enter a drawing just to have shop time with either or both of you. The dartboard cabinet or anything made by either of you would just be a plus. Keep on keeping’ on~!! We love what you do~!!

  23. I love the videos that you guys put out. I always look forward to seeing the projects that you are working on. I feel like I have learned a lot from watching both of you.

  24. You guys are very talented at your craft, learning a lot ! Love watching all the videos. Keep up the great work????

  26. I love watching your videos. You always have great projects. I am currently working on a modified version of the horse bench and hope to post pictures soon.

  27. Jay and Shawn;
Really enjoy your video’s and I have learned a lot. If I win the cabinet I would donate it to a charity auction. But would really just like to meet both of you and see your shops.
You both must spend a ‘lot’ of time cleaning to make a video. I thought saw dust on the floor showed you were working!!!

  28. If I am lucky enough to win the dartboard Please sell it and use the money for some other project and invite the second prize winner for lunch etc. your fantastic I love watching all your work.
