SketchUp: Miter Saw Station Arms

Miter Saw Station

I really liked the design of the arms that I put on my ibuildit.ca miter saw station so I decided I would build some more. This time they needed to be a bit longer and wider. Here is a video covering how I designed them. Thanks for watching!

  1. Jay, I love your videos. I am getting a rather late start into woodworking. I am 86 years old and I recently had to put my wife in an assisted living for advanced Alzheimer’s. After 65 years of marriage, I miss her so much that I had to stay busy doing something, So I chose Woodworking. I have a pretty good background of Auto Cad and Sketchup.

I have made several mistakes in buying my equipment. I recently bought a Saw Stop Table saw and a Laguna14 Twelve Band saw, a Dewalt DW735 Planer and a Dewalt DWS780 Miter Saw. I also have a Ryobi Drill Press that I am going to replace it with a Jet from Woodcraft.

Please excuse the rambling. I spend just about 90% of my time on YouTube looking at all of the items to make; I always draw it on Sketchup first and then try to make it, I do get discouraged at times at the number of mistake that I make, You guys make it look so easy. Anyway I can’t wait to get started each day. It really keeps my mind off of How Much I Miss My Sweet Wife.

Thanks for putting up with my long message. If you ever has any spare time, I would like to talk with you about Sketchup. I have enjoyed some of your shortcuts; I don’t know anyone else that uses Sketchup.

    My phone is: (713) 464-3502

    Regards,
