Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #56 – November 29, 2014

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. MDF Arcade

Check out this MDF arcade bye Jamie Billy. This is so neat. (click the image)

I’m not sure what I would like more, the stack of wood or the saw mill. Either way it’s a good video showing some teamwork on milling lumber.

Mundoracer

This is a very interesting setup. I think it would be very useful for those cutting metal a lot.

joey502

Woah, this is a nice take on a common homemade tracksaw setup. (click the image)

Rich McNatt

Here’s a great idea for recording over a tool. Something that’s commonly done over a lathe. Heck, you could use this for a tablet mount for watching movies on it.

Grady Hillhouse

A great take on stop motion videos. Definately worth the watch. Good job Grady.

Izzy Swan

An oldie but a goodie from Izzy. Want to build a foot powered bench vise?

Alain Vaillancourt

Part 14 of the epic shop build!

April Wilkerson

Holy smokes! I hope my sliding barn door looks as good as this one does.

Nick Ferry

A cool few gifts you can make for the holidays.

  1. Some good picks this week, Jay. About the HGMM channel, my mind is full of ideas, tips, tricks, procedures, and basic how-to-fix-it knowledge I’ve been learning since the late 1950’s. I grew up learning to read with a 1944 Popular Mechanics 14 volume set encyclopedia! Back then, people had to fix and/or make just about everything themselves. Every guy, but every guy was a handyman, and did all his own stuff, just like you & Steve are working on. The point is, I know lots of little stuff, but nothing enough to film and not into that, yet. BUT, if you guys want to ask me ANYTHING, please do.. love to help out. I take good photos, and can write well, if that’s any help. Best regards & good luck, Bob Bollard
