  1. OK so a couple things. First, you don’t need anyone’s approval. Don’t fall down Drunken Woodworkers path and try to do what others want you to. He quickly came back and started doing what he wanted to do again. 2nd. You guys are some of the more creative minds I have ever seen, you Izzy, Matheis, John, all so amazingly ingenious. Don’t let them stifle you. They are just probably jealous they are not creative enough. I for one love watching what you guys build and then try to do it myself. Never turns out as good as yours but I have fun doing it.

  2. I was going to say exactly what Bill said – well put Bill – plus I like the way tou let us know and put a smile on our faces with the way you deal with these sad people.I work with someone like that and I always say “If she won $10,000,000 in the lottery, her first comment would be” “It was 10.5 m last week.Keep up the great work

  3. You know your title says “Jay’s Custom Creations” not Jay’s Custom Wood Working only Creations”.. I liked the Vise is shows be some other Idea’s Keep up the great work!

  4. Wait! Do you say you lived in Seattle, Wa? and you are a Lions fan? I dont understand.
I with you on the “CCC” (Cheap Chinese Crap) multiple bad learning experiences.

  5. My brother-in-law lives in Roseburg OR and worked in a plywood manufacturer plant there, and says that 80% of their total plywood production is being purchased by the Chinese, yet they export their Cheap Chinese Crap back to us… Go figure.

  6. For years in my shop I’ve had to build things of other than wood. Congrats for graduating into the wood working world. It isn’t always about wood.

  7. How do you identify Chinese plywood, is it labeled as such?

Side note, obviously quality was an issue, but chemical off-gassing may have been a bigger threat to you and your family.
Do you recall that Chinese drywall incident a while back?

  8. I wonder if people are still in the TV mindset when watching things on youtube. So people expect it to be like TV and the “show” to not change topics halfway through the season. I dunno, maybe I’m talking out my butt. Maybe people are just jerks.

You’re right though, it is fun to talk about :)

  9. Those tube ends cleaned up real nice.
I thought the CNC stuff was pretty cool, but I have to admit, the sheer complexity of putting it together was intimidating.

  10. I for one (I know I’m not alone), enjoy all your project and vlog videos. The only thing I disagree with is your professional sports teams. Probably has something to do with our geographical upbringing. LOL. All’s good. Keep the videos coming.

  11. Greetings from Olive Branch! Purebond is definitely the best quality I’ve found for a decent price. Plus It’s worth it not to support the ChiComs. Keep up the good work! Btw my son loves the mortal combat sfx

  12. The vise looks great. Just don’t get hooked on grinding. The grinder is to welding what Photoshop is to photography: a great tool that can easily become a crutch. Ask me how I know. :)

Honestly I don’t care if you start doing sewing or scrapbooking projects. I’m certain that what you produce will be interesting regardless of the medium you are working with at the time.
