Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

I really don’t like popcorn ceilings and this is a very budget friendly way to get rid of them. (click the image)

I’ve been thinking about making one of these for the 5″ next to my refrigerator. But I doubt I would fill it up. (click the image)
John Heisz
Taking a $2 saw and making an elegant dovetail saw out of it. Pretty nice work here.
Giaco Whatever
An interesting video on a simple project.

A slim treehouse in Japan. Enough space to qualify for the tiny-house trend.
China Uncensored
Another Japanese carpentry video. I enjoyed this one. It’s 25 minutes long though.
Steve Ramsey
Steve recently started Makers Care to help raise funds for the Make A Wish Foundation. Watch the video to find out how you can help.
The Wood Whisperer
This year’s Woodworkers Fighting Cancer charity build is a simple kids table and chairs from a sheet or two of plywood.
Mike Fulton
Mike just made an Aggravation game board. It’s a pretty simple process to make a jig and make your own board games. I know someone else who regularly sells these so it might be something for you to look into. I’m also going to be making one soon. I agreed to make one a few months ago and really need to get it done.
Which link is that table picture? The picture on top of this page, which is the same one seen in the eMail.
Building Without Nails: The Genius of Japanese Carpentry
The weight of that slab top is huge. The flimsy way those two legs are attached is a disaster weighting to happen. WHEN (not if) someone leans on either end of that table, it will come crashing down. Hopefully, not when some small child or pet is under the table at the time. Very dangerous to be trendy sometimes.
Nope, the legs are “keyed” into the spine and not simply slotted over it. Took me a couple of wind-backs to spot it.
Jack, you have no idea what you are talking about. They have buildings built in the same fashion, over hundreds of years old, still standing. Still standing through major natural disasters! So there is no ‘when’, and there is no ‘trendy’ on proven craftmanship over centuries old.
Jay, thank you for the reply. I seem to be always interested in table builds.
Excellent choices of content. You have to respect the skill and dedication of these eastern craftsmen.
Jay – Cesar means there is no link on the giant table image.
I have found what I think is the link FYI – https://youtu.be/7708E1bmoxc
I Jay, I can see you and your wife making this as a group project. simple yet effective. Thanks again
