Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

I recently went through Billy’s entire Rubo workbench build again. Workbenches have been on my brain a lot lately as I’m hoping to complete a workbench build this winter. Here’s an article on his wood selection for the build. If you’re interested in the rest of his build click on “Split Top Rubo” about halfway down the right sidebar of his website. Click the image for the article. If you’d rather see a video on this series the video below this picture is part 3 of the build where he attached the leg vise and slab.

John always has clever info to share. He recently published a super easy way of making a partial dado joint with a regular table saw blade. Check it out. (click the image)

This isn’t a 100% how to or walk-through but it’s a good example of how easy it is to make a bed slide for pickup trucks. This doesn’t have to be just for tools though. I’ve seen quite a few of these that are used for camping.
Henrys Workshop
I always enjoy Henry’s videos. Well produced and always directly to the point.
Humus Woodwork
Only two videos on this channel so far. I like the way this video was produced though and I’d love to see more.
Mighty Wood
My favorite video of the week. Such a fun video and a great project for the little ones. Also, great build quality too.
The Samurai Carpenter
Some timber framing for the interior of a shop. Very cool to see.
FastEasySmartTOOL
Making wooden hex nuts with a router. This jig is pretty clever. I wonder how difficult it would be to use this method for making a wooden vise screw for a workbench. Hmmm….
Brian Benham
The video is a little long but the project looks great. Good joinery and well-built bench.
Francis Barnett
Timber framing a scarf joint. Making precision joinery on large beams fascinates me.

Jemmy Sheng
A functional project created with good joinery using a modest set of tools. And the video is pretty good too. Nice and to the point.
I watched Billy’s Workbench build video, this exact one, before I finished my workbench. I got the idea from him on draw boring. He does an excellent job of explaining everything in his videos.

Thank you, Jay, for having me and my son’s workbench in you list! Great other stuff there too!
As always, a TON of great new channels to explore and projects to either drool over or add to the list of “things to build”. Thanks for sharing!!
