Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.
Sketchup.com
This is pretty interesting. Someone made a pedal powered lathe in both SketchUp and real life. Check it out (click the image)
The Art of Weapons
Speaking of lathes…here’s a DIY drill powered lathe from The Art of Weapons channel.
Dutchhorse
I really like this take on a simple mallet. Mallets seem to be in season as I’ve seen a lot of them lately. I also made one as well but didn’t record or photo any part of it. I like this one though.

Clickspring
Such an amazing channel. I’ve shared a few of Chris’s videos in the past and I’m really digging this one. The production level of his videos is top notch. And the rope knurls he makes here are beautiful.
Debi’s Design Diary
This particular finishing style is very popular these days. For those who make stuff to sell this video might be of value to you.
Marius Hornberger
This is part three of his latest dust collector build. A very interesting series so far.
Ty Moser
Ty recently made some hanging shelves similar to the ones I put up but with a different aproach to hanging them.
Canadian Woodworks
Paul does a great job showing his simple process for making and installing dovetail keys or bow ties.
Peter Brown
Peter was invited to tour the Instructables facility recently. I had absolutely no clue they had all of this in-house work. Definitely eye opening.
David Waelder
Public Service Announcement about trolling. Great video but there is a tiny bit of bad language in it. Just a heads up if kids are around.
Carl Holmgren
Carl has some great inventions and projects. This is a video showing his stackable storage boxes. What’s cool about these is that you still have access to the inside even as they are stacked. He does have plans available but if you aren’t interested in the plans maybe you are able to get something out of the design.
MattCremona.com
You’re probably well aware that Woodworking In America was last weekend. Matt put together a roundup of several of the WIA published content since it was over. Check it out. (click the image)
Izzy Swan
A great wooden hinge video to check out.
Carl Jacobson
The force is strong with this one…. wait…. umm…….
mortdiver
Have you ever wanted to build a canoe? This guy did it with a very modest set of tools. After watching it being built check out his channel for the maiden voyage video.
Jay – Thanks for showing Carl Holmgren’s video. Those storage boxes are great! I need to buy those plans.
neat stuff Jay, thanks
Love the storage boxes and might have a crush on milk paint girl.
