Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #106 – November 21, 2015

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Make it Extreme

This has quickly become one of my favorite channels to watch. I just re-watched the entire video while trying to write this article.

Paul Sellers

I lose track of time when watching Paul’s videos. Here’s how to make a rabbet plane. I’d suggest watching this one in your shop if possible :)

Long Island Woodworking

Any fisherman out there? Here’s a tackle box you can make.

Popular Woodworking

In my mortise and tenon sofa table video I tapered the legs at my bandsaw and cleaned them up at the jointer. A lot of people suggested using the jointer to taper the legs instead. Here’s how you do it.

Frank Howarth

Speaking of jointers…I stumbled upon this video while watching the last one. It’s a couple year old video from Frank Howarth that you may have not seen.

Wm. Walker Co.

I love this video style. Great video production. And a nice looking clock too.

Craig Thibodeau

Woah. I wonder how many hours it took to make this one. It’s like a giant puzzle.

Patrick Hosey

Another fantastic video production. So many people are making great videos these days and as a fellow video consumer I love it. I really enjoyed watching this one and the final project looks great. The video is so peaceful and inviting.

Nice, solid construction with some beautiful wood. I love the contrast.

hffcom

This is a rather long video with no talking. I typically watch these in 2x speed and just zone out on the action. He makes furniture for a living (I think, someone correct me if I’m wrong) so it’s always nice to see the perspective of someone in those shoes. I always learn a thing or two when watching these kind of videos.

Alex Smit

Holy smokes Batman. Another great video production. A skateboard pocket knife.

Inspire To Make

A mini cannon. Such a fun project.

Paul Sellers is a real professor. I’ll keep saying it at any given chance :-)
