Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #114 – January 23, 2016

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Sorry for missing last week’s Interesting Stuff post. That particular week was crazy busy with working on the workbench and workbench plans that I honestly didn’t have enough content to make an article. My apologies for that. But anyway……..

Shop built

Here’s a pretty nifty table saw sled with built-in t-track. I really like the video production on this channel.

GuysWoodshop

Guys projects are always top-notch. High quality craftsmanship. His recent butterfly leaf dining table build just came to an end. Here’s the conclusion.

David Stanton

Looking to build a fence? I really like the inset chain link panels in this one. Also, there’s a really neat string tightening tip shown at about 5 minutes in.

Dave Gatton

Anyone want a free CNC machine? Dave Gatton is giving one away. The drawing date is February 13 so there is plenty of time to enter.

Matthew Cremona

Matt’s videos always cover all the details. Check out the latest addition to his nursery.

Jeff Ferguson

This is a really quick tip that will probably come in handy one day. Check it out.

The Samaurai Carpenter

This is one very beautiful gate.

Paul Sellers

An hour-long video covering how to restore a bench plane. I could watch this guy work all day long. He did a fantastic job cleaning up the plane as well.

DIY Creators – Building Something

Here’s a channel you may not know about. As well as a nicely thought out murphy bed project.

Jon Peters Art & Home

This is the full building process of a really beautiful, modern chess set.

Jason Rausch

I love it when regular every day people come up with unique inventions. This is Jason Rausch’s new digitally controlled box joint jig.

GarageWoodworks

Everyone loves a good shop project. I can se this being useful to a lot of people with bandsaws.

Kyle Toth

This is an older video from Kyle Toth but there are some great tips in it. Around the 1:54 minute mark he makes an accurate router jig by plunging the table saw blade up in a controlled situation. He also makes another template later on in the build with the same method. It’s worth remembering.

Clickspring

More progress on an absolutely beautiful, precision homemade clock. This is an amazing channel. Definitely worth subscribing to.

Patrick’s work shop

It’s really great to see my friend Patrick making more videos. This is the start of a series of wall mounted cat shelves he plans on making.
