Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #130 – May 21, 2016

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Carl Jacobson

Here’s a really fun collaboration video between Carl Jacobson and Pat Laperriere. Some pretty good tunes too.

michaelchthulhu

This is….interesting. It’s a mouth only respirator that works somewhat like a snorkel. Not for everyone though. Great for those with beards.

Paul Sellers

The simplicity of this is so brilliant. Exactly what you would expect from Paul.

Kyle Toth

Kyle making it look easy with a miter saw.

VisitorsTvNetwork

A great little video taking you inside a fine furniture shop in Maryland.

Ben Prowell

This completed cherry hall table is gorgeous.

ArtisanMediaLtd

I like how all of these pieces just flow. Flow is a great word to describe all of these. A good inspirational message too.

Brent English

What a beauty! Showing some of the capabilities of the Robust Sweet 16 lathes. Man what a machine. Yes, it’s a sales pitch but he does demonstrate it very well.

FineWoodworking

Mike Pekovich is a great teacher. Everything I’ve seen from him has been great. Here’s a great tip for laying out through mortises. You can never have enough blue tape!

DIY Creators

Make things convenient and you will use them more OR dread using them less. Having dog food storage right where the dogs eat is incredibly convenient. I used the same approach to make a drawer below my trash can for the bags. Anyway, check out this simple but useful project.

Humus Workshop

Another handy little platform/jig for a belt sander.

Wranglerstar

Such an awesome structure. Wind that actually cut’s trees.

  1. Great collection of practical tips and examples of master craftsmanship. It was one of the most pleasant morning coffees I have enjoyed in a very long time. Thanks my friend for the great start to my day.

  2. That crosscut jig was pretty slick. Would be a cool video project for someone good at making jigs.

  3. Enjoy your content as always, with the exception of the breather video when the gentleman used the Lord`s name in vain. I found that to be very unpleasant.

  4. As a hobbyist most Festool products are out of my reach financially. My old Craftsman vac purchased in 1998 for $49 is still going strong and since I’m nearly deaf the noise isn’t an issue. If I manage to save a few bucks it would be for the Festool Domino Joiner.

  5. on your video’s you give very interesting tips and tricks on tool handling. The way you work and the information you provide are very stimulating, thanks a lot!
