Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #134 – June 18, 2016

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Jon Peters Art & Home

Here’s a simple miter saw station with a few cabinets and drawers.

Ryan Gratland

I like the concept of making this type stand or table adjustable. It allows it to be used at various places in the house.

Bradley Lindseth

A very well produced video from Mr Bradley. It’s also a new channel I recently subscribed to.

Charles Bender

I really like this method of making tiny string inlay.

Chris Salomone

Such a beautiful bench.

Dustin Penner

I’ve shared a few of Dustin’s secret compartment box builds previously. Here he shows exactly how to make one.

Patriots”R”Us

This isn’t always a practical situation for most people but the concept of a hidden safe room is nice. Maye you could get some ideas from this?

Doucette and Wolfe Furniture Makers

I had a little fine woodworking craving a few days ago. Doucette and Wolfe always satisfy those cravings. Here’s two from them. The first is a curly cherry chest of drawers and the second is a beautiful secretary.

Uncommon Sense

A few weeks ago I shared part 1 of this video series. Ever thought of starting a business? Be sure to do the math first!

Stone and Sons Workshop

My friend Shawn is about to do a pretty large giveaway. Subscribe if you haven’t already!

  1. Thanks again Jay for showing my build. Extremely honored. Just an FYI of a question I have been asked. I made the slide out tray for my laptop. The holes help with weight too given this was a scrap wood project and its 3/4″ BB. The holes help the laptop cool as well as keeps your lap from melting! I made this to use for my recovery from back surgery 3 weeks ago and it was so convenient. Big fan Jay! Keep it up my friend!

  2. “Accuracy is way less important than repeatability.” Thank you Chris Salomone of foureyes furniture. That’s going on my wall.

  3. Doucette & Wolfe, it’s mind boggling how his joints all come out so perfect. BTW, have you ever found out which one he is, Doucette or Wolfe? And why isn’t the other guy there, it’s always the same person. Either way, there furniture pieces are excellent! Must really take a long time for them to look as good as they do.
