  1. I bought a Floor Model Central Machinery (Harbor Freight) drill press, with the full intent and purpose of using it for a dedicated square hole mortising machine. I purchased an inexpensive ($60?) chiseling set, with the attachments prior. After buying the attachment/chisel set, I realized that I would lose all benefits of depth gauge, etc. on my smaller table top drill press, so went for a bigger dedicated drill press for just this reason. I have yet to use it, but will use it showing some of it’s capabilities in a video and dedicate it to you three (Jay, Nick and April). I think it may surprise you :) The video will be posted at the R&D WoodShop Channel on YouTube.

  2. ENJOYED THE PODCAST, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND KEEP THEM COMING .
APRIL SOUNDS LIKE MY SISTER IN LAW , NOT AFRAID TO TACKLE ANYTHING IN THE ,LINE OF HOME REPAIRS ,IF SHE CAN’T DO IT WE TACKLE IT TOGETHER.

  3. Stay away from the tankless, Nick. I was a plumber for 17 years and I’ve seen zero cases where the demand could keep up. You’ll use more energy as it’s heating as you use it. Since it can’t keep up, it’s working most of the time.

  4. Another thing about tankless water heaters. You mentioned gas. A plumber advised me that the gas models are pretty disappointing in performance. Another consideration is that gas or electric have to be cleaned about every 6 months, which apparently is a time consuming process.

  5. Nick, Please do your research (real research) I’ve had a tankless for about ten years and would not have any other type of water heater. A good gas tankless has about 200,000 BTU’s and that is a lot of heating. Climate and water quality are a consideration – Just my two cents worth.

Anyway, all of you are an inspiration and i love your podcast and youtube videos. I’m new to wood working and You, Jay and April have helped me greatly.
