Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #151 – November 19, 2016

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Paoson WoodWorking

Another homemade tool by Paoson WoodWorking. This time a Lathe and disc sander.

Tips from a Shipwright

I doubt I’ll ever use the knowledge gained from watching Louis work but he sure does make it interesting to watch.

Jeremy Schmidt

Jeremy is another one with a great knack for explaining things.

Homestead Heritage School of Woodworking

Regardless of what “it” is in life if you want to be good at it you need to practice. Even cutting a straight line with a hand saw requires some practice.

Another one from Frank. A good demonstration of saw sharpening.

KQED

Not woodworking but this was very interesting. I had no clue that sail boats worked this way…

Matt Estlea – Furniture

What is better…the shop or the project? Neither answer is wrong. Amazing piece.

KickStarter – Maslow CNC

This has serious potential. A 4×8′ CNC that doesn’t take up that much space. Interesting concept. (click the image)

Dave

“Ghetto fiberglass” made with wood glue and rags. This is awesome.

Singularity Lectures

This isn’t woodworking. It’s innovation. While the technology has been around for a while they’ve never looked this good. I love witnessing technology progress.

  2. I was wondering where all the traffic had suddenly come from! Thank you for sharing my video Jay, glad you like it.

Unfortunately for me, the workshop is owned by the University I study at. I don’t own any of those machines :(
