Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #158 – January 7, 2017

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Mike Fulton

Depth stop mod for the drill press.

Clickspring

All good things must come to an end. This video is the completion of the clickspring clock. Luckily he will be back with another project really soon :)

woodturningwithtim1

Turning a football box. This is really nice.

Braxton Wirthlin

A nice project and a fun video edit from Braxton. Great job on both, dude.

Patrick Penning

Another modified paulk workbench.

desertsun02

It’s cold this time of the year. Interested in some extra shop heat with a one time investment?

Matthias Wandel

Sometimes the best solutions are so simple that they are overlooked. This is video 6 of Mathias’ big bandsaw build. I added the video with the 2:25 time stamp so you can see the clamping tip first. Then back up and watch the entire video if you are interested.

Triton Tools

A good conversation with a couple friends. Some good info in the video as well.

tim sway

Regarldess of if you have a CNC or not, making push sticks with multiple pushing sides is a great idea.

Jon Peters Art & Home

A beautiful set of tables out of black walnut. I love projects that are simple enough to let the wood do all the talking.

Max Maker

A lightweight camping table to replace….a piece of cardboard? Some manufactured products are simply crap these days. Glad to see this rebuild instead of just putting the entire table and legs in the trash.

Makers on the Move

Have you seen the Makers on the Move series? Good stuff :)

    • I’m honestly not sure. You’re 3 clicks away from ANYTHING when you’re on a desktop and on YouTube. lol Also, someone may have sent me a link. That happens frequently these days :)

  1. The Makers on the Move series by Mike and Lauren is fun to watch. I have been following them for quite a while now, Mike is a clever guy that isn’t afraid of making mistakes and Lauren is fun and very supportive. I recommend this series to anyone interested in DIY type content. They travel around and help viewers with projects!

  2. Great selection this week Jay! Some very interesting items. I happen to like the clock one best. Take care!

  3. Hi Jay,

if you are interested in solar energy, have a look at articles and videos about “solar air heater” too.
