Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #228 – December 15, 2018

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

Northmen

An oldie but a goodie. I think I’ve shared this one before but it wasn’t showing up in my bookmarks. Definitely worth the watch if you’ve got 25 minutes to spare. So much woodworking :)

Shawn made a simple but killer looking outdoor kitchen. I’ve seen the before and after in person and man what a great job. Want to transform an outdoor space like this? Do it! (click the image)

Woodworkers Source

Another great video on the trees-to-lumber process.

Nothing like hanging out in a shed making something cool and having fun while.

Marius Hornberger

Marius with his engineer thinking cap on again. Probably the best router flattening jig I’ve ever seen.

Real Tool Reviews

Looking to buy a rolling metal tool box? Watch this first. I contemplated buying one of these before making my miter saw station.

I have no affiliation with this company but I know this will be valuable to some. Simply plug in the interior dimensions of your drawer and drag and drop a series of bins to fit your space exactly. Custom bin layouts at a decent price. (click the image)

Blacktail Studio

I haven’t gotten into the epoxy craze much but this table is stunning. Instead of the epoxy being the main feature the black, muted epoxy adds to the contrast of the table and pushes attention to the wood. The best epoxy table I’ve ever seen.

  1. Cool choices this week, Jay!
That is a stunning table top. I think those with dark / black tinted epoxy will become the trend before the fad dies away. Any time now, people will start seeing their early generation epoxy tables start to get cloudy and yellow.

  2. Thank you for Dirty Shed Creations! It’s a great Christmas present. I owe you one (well, maybe more than one …). Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
