I suppose you could do the t-slot + rubber molding option for the melamine — not sure what it is called. The stuff they’d wrap around the edges of arcade cabinets. But also interesting to just see how it holds up with nothing. It is utility furniture after all.
I thought about that as well. If I use melamine for shop stuff in the future I’ll likely go that route for experimentation purposes.
