Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #279 – November 6, 2021

Occasionally I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links throughout the week when you find something really interesting.

3d printed houses? Yes, please! I absolutely love seeing new technology like this evolve. While these are still relatively early in consumer adoption it’s hard to see why this won’t take off. A bit pricey now but with greater adoption from both consumer and producer, the price should come down.

Chad Stanton

The combination of a dado and pocket screws is great. Much easier for alignment and assembly. And the jig made in this video is also great.

  1. Hey Jay,
What a treat it was to see the video of the old letter press. My Dad owned a commerical print shop in a small town in Pennsylvania. In the late 59s and early 60s I often ran a Colt letter press somewhat similar to this one. We printed flyers, newsletters, announcement, invitations, you name it. Of course we ran it at a much higher speed and even now at 74 I have excellent eye hand coordination. That’s probaby why. Can you image what OSHA’s reaction to that would be today! Thanks Jay!

  2. What a handful Chris (A Glimpse Inside) has to deal with. And he has an amazing disposition. He really loves his family!

  3. CNC house build vid was very interesting and shows lots of potential. Maybe the team could do a deal with Tesla and get solar tile roofs as part of the build.
Jay – you need a bigger CNC
