Vlog 171: Quick Hello Update

Just a quick update on stuff. I took a break from screen time after the last CNC project. It felt great to get away for a couple of weeks.

We also got a different camper. We sold our camper and bought a mint condition used toy hauler. The timing was right with the market and we didn’t take a hit on value. The toy hauler is a Gulf Stream G28. We took it to Texas last week and had a blast. A toy hauler is definitely the way to go, even if you don’t have a vehicle to put in the back and take with you. We used it as a giant flex space and a separate room for visiting family.

The camper situation inspired the next project, assuming I don’t screw it up. I’m making a bandsaw box style toy hauler camper for my daughter’s dolls and such.

Slowly but surely, I’m making progress on the outdoor kitchen. I’ve got the island installed and the farm table base in place. A sub panel is in place for lights, fans, and an instant water heater for the sink. The farm table top is done and the island top is glued up and close to completion.

That’s it for now. Have a great day and try your best to enjoy life! Talk to you later.

  1. Good to hear from you, Jay. I’ve missed seeing you and hearing about what’s going on. You might want to check out the Rogue Engineer’s videos. He recently did exactly what you are thinking of doing with your pool table.

  2. Good to see you again Jay. Nothing wrong with a break, everyone needs one from time to time. Would be interesting to see how you make the bandsaw box RV for your daughter besides the main glue up, I hope you have a video on that. I look forward to seeing future videos. Scott
