Today, I made my tractor bucket a bit more handy by installing the JU Fabworks Universal Workmaster with D-rings. It’s a bolt-on plate for the top of the tractor bucket that includes a hitch receiver, two D-rings, and two chain hooks.
The tractor hydraulics have already proven handy for picking up and moving a trailer. It’s much easier and quicker than using my truck. When not in use, the hitch can be installed in the back of the receiver, where it is always ready to use but out of the way.
One of the main reasons I’ve been wanting one of these for a while is the chain hooks. Many times since buying our property in April I have said “Darn, this is a perfect situation to pully XYZ with a chain.” Having a pair of chain hooks on the bucket will be a useful option forever. I’ve already used them a handful of times, safely pulling large vines out of trees.
