Day 323 – A Productive Day in the Future Orchard

We’ve worked through many challenges over the past year, and one of the most recurring challenges is how much to document and present to the world. Days like 323 are a good example of this. I want to have a record of all our work days to look back upon, but how do I package up the days where it’s just grunt work void of “WOW!!!” and put it in a box to send out? I don’t know the answer, and maybe there isn’t a clear-cut answer anyway. I’m beginning to realize that every day has a different answer. I hope you enjoy this short edit of a day of grunt work livened up by a wonderfully appropriate song.

Teamwork makes the dream work. On Day 323, we cleaned up most of the downed trees from last fall. We have big dreams of this 1.3-acre space being a fruit and nut orchard, but there is so much work to be done before we can plant our first tree. The only way to get to where we want to be is to simply keep moving and keep making progress. Little by little, it will come together.

  1. Lots of work and taking a long time to do it but in the end you will have something to be proud of. Good for you and the Mrs for hanging in there and getting the work done.

BTW, what kind of dohs do you have?

      • Jay,

Thanks much for the reply. I have been a big fan of yours for a very long time. But being a Blackhawks fan, it was hard to watch your old videos with the “other team” stickers on your work stuff. LOL
Have fun, and you are doing good work now.
