Jay, fellow former Michigander here. I love watching your videos. I noticed that you used a brush to apply paste wax to your planer. How did you get the wax soft enough to do that?
I’m in Mississippi, and the temperatures in my shop are the same as outside. The shop temperature was 95 degrees that day. Wax isn’t hard when it’s that hot.
what is the name of the music you are playing its great
This one is Dead Mans Blues by Roy Williams. I try to put music credits on the end screen.
Do you bother with a rain gauge ?
I’m curious how much rain you are getting!!
Thank you for sharing your journey!!
I don’t measure the rain, but I do have three thermometers placed around the shop, one that measures humidity as well. It’s 95.9°F with 52% humidity at my computer as I type this.
I have this page bookmarked for Mississippi rainfall amounts. May and June were brutal; both over 2x the average rainfall. We’re already 10% over for the month of July and we have 9 more days to go. Luckily, I think we are starting our annual summer drought, as our 10 day forecast is dry. https://precip.ai/rainfall-totals/state/mississippi
