The apartment build is crawling along. December has really kicked my but personally—sickness, death in the family, wisdom tooth extraction, blah, blah, blah. But we’re making progress. Despite more than a decade of banking at one location and a credit score just under 800, our bank denied our loan request, so we are back to funding it ourselves, which is fine. On a positive note, we have hot water and a flushing toilet again!

Watching you on the sawmill and seeing you crank that handle backwards and forwards, it got me thinking of how many thousands of times you have turned that handle already. Do you have a counter on it, and do you wish you had opted for the automatic model (if it exists)?
