In May 2023, I purchased two Oliver woodworking machines: a 15″ helical head planer and a 12″ helical head jointer. After nine months of use, I figured it would be a good time to talk about my experience with the jointer.
I’ve put a lot of material through this machine over the past nine months. Figured wood, cheap pine, and even a few logs to get a flat spot for bandsaw work. The machine has handled everything I’ve thrown at it. The helical head reduces tearout and leaves a surface ready for final sanding or scraping. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase and I would do it over again if I had to.
