Logs, Lumber, Sales, and Trades

Finally, a return to building furniture is at least within sight. Once we get the insulation in the apartment we are moving in. We will do the interior siding later, as we plan on cutting the trees, making lumber, drying it, and cutting either shiplap or v-groove tongue and groove. That will be a process. We also don’t have much furniture, so I will be building everything we need.

  1. Bro, if you ever plan on building a house on your site and want to disassemble your apartment to reclaim the space you will be sorry using that spray foam.
    Just saying.
Good scores and a great vid,

  2. If you know what stove you’ll be getting, check out how long you need your splits to be. We recently upgraded our stove and it can fit 24″ whereas the old stove only accepted 16″. The empty space in the new stove with the shorter splits is kind of a bummer. I’ll be into my longer firewood next winter.
Also, throw an old tire on the ground and the log in the tire. You won’t have pieces flying everywhere.
