A productive day of knocking a few things off the to-do list. Starting with a simple cord cover. Then a super cheap lazy suzan setup for spraying finishes, and finally a proper bit storage tray for the router table. No article on this one. Too busy keeping sanity making Christmas gifts lately… Talk to you in the next one.

Got to always have pulp in the orange juice
Pulp in the OJ is good.
What type of shellac are you using? Are you making your own?
You have to love those days when you get a couple dozen odds and ends type of jobs done!
Jay,
Be thankful it’s Sesame Street, at least your daughter is learning. My kids were all little when Teletubbies was on. I still haven’t recovered the brain cells from that show.
No pulp orange juice! I don’t want to chew my juice!! Bleck
Hmmm now I have to wonder cause I just got the Rockler hose system for the small power tools and I got it with the retractable hose.
You’ve got the link to the FlexiPort Power Tool Hose Kit wrong. Here’s the correct link, https://www.rockler.com/dust-right-flexiport-power-tool-hose-kit-12-fixed-length/?sid=AFXA6
No, the links are for the 4″ hoses and connections that I’ve been using for a few years now. I don’t like to recommend products immediately after getting them so I didn’t include that on on the list. I like to wait a bit to make sure it’s good.
Glad to see you put things off too. Now I can tell the wife that Jay procrastinates and she may leave me alone. Even though I don’t like pulp, I 100% support the theory that the shopper is the chooser, That’s the way I get cookies! Great video Jay…rock on.
Jay, what it the machine [name & manufacturer] that did the automatic drilling of all the holes for your router bits storage board?
So Disappointed you didn’t use the word Ba Binga when making that lazy susan
Trying to learn Fusion 360, I drew up adapters for all the small dust making tools so they’d all fit either the 2″ vacuum cleaner hose, or else the standard flex hoses on my central dust collection system. Then I 3d printed them. Solved the problem without spending much money.
Just wondering , your dust box on the router table , is that attached to a collection system or do you have clean it out regularly thanks and love the videos
I enjoy watching updates like this: combination of direct explanation and action with voice-over. Nice work as always. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed your video – as usual – gave me a few ideas. Pocket dump tray Christmas gifts. I am new to CNC and learning. The cup (pocket) sections, assume you just use pocket tool path. How do you get the rounded tops, do you do that separate with router, not sure how to put the finishing touch after material pocketed out. i understand you are busy and may no have time to answer how, but thought it was worth asking. Keep up the good work.
I wonder if you could use that storm shelter beside your place for a spraying area? It could dry and not smell up the main shop.
I’ve been interested in the Leatherman tool you have. Any complaints?
Zero. Wish I would have gotten it sooner. I feel incomplete without it on my hip.
The trays you showed with the names seem to be really close to a phone holder / stand that I’m making (as gifts?)(for fun), but they are on the hypotenuse side of a 30 60 right triangle. I’m having a devil of a time routing out the inset part, and was wondering if you have any ways to accomplish the way you made your trays with a handheld router or router table, I don’t have a CNC machine. Productive day in the shop!
