  1. If you ever have reason to lighten the setup, you could use a mirror mounted above or to the side to parascopically view-find on the built in monitor

    • I thought about a mirror but the camera is routinely in weird angles. Then the mirror would have to be adjusted….unless it is mounted to the camera cage. But then we’re using a mirror to look at a small screen.

  2. Great video Jay. I built the camera stand for our product photos. It’s just solid and has a small footprint ( no more tripods)

  5. Very informative and appreciative of you taking time to share this information. the links to the equipment are very helpful. Although not interesting to most of your woodworking audience, I would be interested in tips and tricks with your editing process and what software you are using for video editing these days. i keep thinking about making some YouTube videos, not really thinking about making money but information sharing because this woodworking community has been very generous with their time in teaching me over the last several years. I know at one point in time you had a video that discussed you were exploring using a different editing software that was free or less expensive than Adobe. How has that all worked out. Once again thank you for this content.
