I have my stationary tools waxed and I cover them with old bed sheets and have not had any problems. But I don’t live where humidity is a big problem. I think you may have missed the question though. Other than rust there will not be any permanent damage done to tools kept in an unheated shop. Have a good look around though for anything that may freeze and burst.
