Interesting Stuff From Around The Web #174 – April 29, 2017

Every week I like to share a few things I find interesting. Mostly video content with an occasional website article. All of the content you will find in these posts is free to you. Remember that liking, subscribing, or sharing free content goes a long way in helping produce more free content. If you like that creator’s work, share it! Also, thank you to those who send me links through the week when you find something really interesting.

This should play the whole playlist for Jeremy’s homemade lathe.

This video is a lot of repetition but it’s a good glimpse into teamwork running a bandsaw mill.

The Michigan Woodworker

Another saw mill but this time a circular saw mill. I always find the engineering aspect of mills interesting.

This isn’t woodworking but I really enjoyed it. It’s a short timelapse looking out the front window of an over-night flight across the Atlantic Ocean to South America. (click the image)

  1. I love Mikes snake walking sticks, been following him for sometime now, such patience.
Great round up Jay…yet again ???

  2. The view of the night sky and the Milky Way are beautiful. I am not able to see the full night sky due to the light pollution in my area.

  3. Loved Brian McAllister’s video. What a great video even for those of us with equipment, as a reminder to be sure what to have on hand. And what is not to love about Jeremy Fielding. He was one of the most ingenious person I have yet to see on You tube/woodworking/ and making something out of parts and scraps. Stinnett Sticks- what can I say but what an artist. Taking a branch in the woods and turning it into a beautiful walking stick. It makes me want to get out my small carving and dremel too and have a go at it. Awesome video. Beyond clouds was just something I was awe struck by. Natures celestial beauty at its very best! Thanks for another great collection of videos, Jay. Well done!
