In this video I made a simple easel with a few scrap pieces of maple, a scrap piece of plywood, a 1/2″ dowel, three screws, and some light duty black chain. Designed with the height of my 4 year old in mind, the legs are 48″ long. An adult can use it comfortably with a chair as well.
I wanted the easel to be multi purpose, so I didn’t permanently fix the plywood to the frame. One side of the plywood was treated with chalkboard paint and the other side holds a clipboard mechanism.
I also mentioned a few other projects at the end of the video. You can click through the following list to view those projects.
